Western Growers Division of Strategic Planning, Science and Technology has created and collected a variety of resources and documents that may be of interest or assistance to our members in the areas of food safety, crop protection, environmental stewardship or other science and technology oriented issues. These documents are generally downloadable in a .pdf file format. Transcripts or recordings of Western Growers seminars or web meetings are available to Western Growers members for the cost of registration (if any).  Non members may access these documents for a fee. Select documents may be available only to Western Growers members.

    • 2006-4-25 Leafy Green and Lettuce Guidelines
      This document provides voluntary recommended guidelines on food safety practices that are intended to minimize the microbiological hazards associated with fresh and fresh-cut lettuce/leafy greens products.
    • 2005-11-00 FDA Farm Investigation Questionaire
      This questionnaire has been used in the domestic and imported survey follow-ups and outbreak source investigations. It has been developed by CFSAN and ORA for use on investigations of farms implicated in produce associated outbreaks or farms that grew produce that was found positive for pathogens by FDA testing.
